CMCF welcomes Brian Affouan as Communications Specialist
Brian Affouan is joining the CMCF team as Communications Specialist. He brings three years of experience working with youth as well as diverse groups and is a communications professional with a flair for delivering audience-tailored content.
Brian’s areas of focus include public relations, advocacy, and research, which he honed while concurrently pursuing his degree. He graduated with honours from the University of Prince Edward Island (PE) with a BSc in Psychology. Brian is from Mauritius, a subtropical island nation off the east coast of Africa in the Indian Ocean. He is fluent in English, French, and Creole.
In his capacity as Communications Specialist, Brian will facilitate and support the planning, creation, and dissemination of the Imagine-Marine communication campaign. With his passion for creative storytelling, strategic thinking, and expertise in working with youth, his skillset will be particularly helpful to amplify digital content and expand the Imagine Marine Youth Forum.
In his spare time, he enjoys cooking, checking out new restaurants, travelling, and, most importantly, spending time with friends.
