Hullo Ferries Becomes a Canadian Marine Careers Foundation Partner
June 16, 2025
The Canadian Marine Careers Foundation is pleased to welcome Hullo Ferries as its newest West Coast partner, supporting the foundation’s efforts to build an inclusive and future-ready workforce for the marine sector.

Hullo Ferries operates a high-speed passenger ferry service between Vancouver and Vancouver Island, connecting communities and supporting regional travel across the Salish Sea.

"Joining the CMCF allows us to highlight the exciting and rewarding careers available at Hullo," says Charlotte Hol, Director of Human Resources at Hullo Ferries. "Whether you’re early in your career or looking to make a change, this industry offers meaningful work, strong mentorship, and the exclusive opportunity to operate on high-speed vessels."

"We’re creating a new model for marine travel — one that’s efficient, people-focused, and built for the next generation," says Ryan Dermody, CEO of Hullo Ferries. "This partnership is one more way we’re investing in talent and helping move the industry forward."

"Ferries are a major contributor to Canada’s economic success, connecting thousands of communities across the country and supporting many businesses including tourism," says Julia Fields, Executive Director of the Canadian Marine Careers Foundation. "With Hullo's support, we can reinforce our efforts to reach more youth, second-career seekers and underrepresented groups. This helps build a more accessible and inclusive marine sector while also addressing the current labour shortages the industry is facing."
