The
Canadian Marine Careers Foundation (“CMCF”) welcomes Christine Bhopalsingh to our team as a Workforce Development Project Manager for a period of 12 months.
Christine joins us from the Canadian Coast Guard (CCG) and we would like to thank the CCG for this collaborative opportunity to share knowledge, best practices and strategies that will help increase awareness of and pathways to careers in the marine sector.
Based in Victoria, B.C., Christine will help develop the foundation’s educational outreach strategy, ongoing educational projects and provide valuable input into our workforce excellence activities.
As a public servant since 1996, Christine’s wide-ranging career has taken her from prairie to ocean, through multiple federal departments and specialties – clerical, IT, HR, and Wellness – with the common thread of helping people. She is an innovator at heart & strives to find creative solutions, while advocating for trauma informed practices as the workforce evolves. During her off time, she is an Arts Council President on the Westshore of Vancouver Island, striving to promote all willing to step forward in boldness & self-expression. She also spends time as a Board Director for The Greater Victoria Greenbelt Society, actively involved in Environmental Conservation & Reconciliation discussions.
